Oflopin -OZ

There is synergy between Ofloxacin & Ornidazole
Due to the suspecptibility to inactivation by penicillinase that Orinidazole is combined with Ofloxacin to give an edge
The combination of two drugs show an additive effect against most bacteria sensitive to individual drug
No evidence of antagonism
Shows more potentiation when given together & not effective when given alone
Proved highly effective in mixed infections
Active against methicillin- resistant S. Aureus infections
